Planny is designed

to organize your

life by combining

your calendar,

reminders, notes and to–do

lists in one app. Version 3

adds support for Dark Mode,

new Siri Shortcuts, and

document scanning; and on

iPad you get multi–space and

multi–window support. It

also introduces a long–press

contextual menu for easier

organization, the ability to

create subtasks underneath

individual tasks and

integration with Apple’s

Game Center so you can

compare your productivity

rankings and achievements

with friends or colleagues.

To get the most from it

you’ll need a subscription to

unlock the Calendar view,

location-based reminders,

iCloud sync and backup,

FaceID unlocking, sketching,

printing and tagging, and the

teamwork collaboration

features. The iCloud sync is

particularly useful as Planny

is also available for your Mac

and Apple Watch.

you might want to add to

your daily plan and remind

more deadlines you meet or

tasks you complete the more

points you earn, with points

deducted if you don’t do them

or reschedule them.

We encountered some

issues. The interface is a bit

confusing: for example it’s

not obvious where you would

create new tags, and setting

recurring events isn’t done in

the Calendar section where

you’d expect but in a separate

part called Routines. We also

encountered interface bugs

(version 3.2.2 on iPadOS 13.1):

some buttons that didn’t

respond. The developer

issues updates regularly so

THE BOTTOM LINE. Planny

3 combines your to–dos,

notes and events very well,
