- Dark and Light Modes auto adjust
Apple introduced Dark Mode in macOS
Mojave. In Catalina, Apple now lets you
select a mode that automatically
transitions between Light and
Dark Modes. In the General
System Preference, you can now
select Auto in the Appearance
setting. This will automatically
change the way your Mac looks
as the day progresses. - Set specific languages for
your apps
Have you always wanted to, say,
run Google Chrome in Danish?
Now you can. In macOS
Catalina, Apple now lets you
assign a specific language to
an app. This is helpful if you
want to practice a certain
language, or you have a user
who is more comfortable with a
language other than English.
To change the language
for an app, go to System
Preferences → Language &
Region. Click on Apps, and a
listing will appear. Click on the
+ button; a pop-up appears,
where you select the app you
want, and the language you
want to use. Click on Add, and
the app and its assigned
language will appear on the list.
Now when you launch that app, it’ll
appear in the language you picked.
