1918,theGermansrequestedtwomoretrainingofficersfromGermany.²⁸⁶No
sourcescouldbefoundabouttheuseoftheStormtroopersinthewaragainst
Greecealthoughitishighlyprobablethatsomeoftheveteransfromthose
unitsalsojoinedthenationalistforcesandmadeuseoftheirexperience.The
Germanknowledgewasalsopreservedwithintheothernationalarmedforces
onTurkishsoilatthattime.ThelastGermanfieldregulationforassaultunits
wastranslatedintoTurkishandpublishedinseveraleditionsbytheSultan’s
