opportunitiestoventgood-naturedrivalries

SevernValleyRailway1940sevents,the
SouthWalesValleysandDunravenBay.For
2020 eightoutingsarealreadyplanned
including a weekend trip to Anglesey in June.Whataretheclub’sgoalsforthefuture?
Ouraimsaretokeeptheclubthrivingby
ensuringhealthymembershiplevelsand
finances,a high-qualitymeetingvenue,a
vibrantandcreativeethosamongmembers
andgettingenjoymentoutof theartand
scienceof photography.In 2020Ross-on-
Wyewillcelebratethe250thanniversaryof
organisedtourism.In 1770theReverend
WilliamGilpinpublishedthefirstBritish
TouristGuidefollowinghistripdowntheWye
fromRosstoChepstow.Theinitiativewas
launchedin RossbyHRHthePrinceof Wales
at theendof 2019andourSocietyhasbeen
taskedwithphotographingtheassociated
events,tobeincludedin a grand 2020 Gilpin
Festival along the river Wye.
