Sew quick and easy
straight rows that become a
quilt on point.

About This Quilt
Anyone can easily sew
5" squares and sashes together to
make a straight-set quilt. The fun
comes when the quilt is cut apart
diagonally, pieces moved, and
then sewn back together. After an
additional cut, move, and sew, the
straight-set quilt magically trans-
forms into a quilt with squares set
on point.

Assembling the Quilt
Center
Refer to the Piecing Diagram for the
following steps. Sew 5 white A’s and
5 assorted B’s together as shown
to make a block row. Make 8 block
rows. Sew together 5 orange C’s and
5 white A’s as shown to make a sash
row. Make 8 sash rows. Sew block
rows and sash rows together, alter-
nating to complete quilt center.
Starting at the lower left corner, cut
quilt center diagonally as shown,
creating two sections. Move
section 2 to top of section 1 as
shown and sew together.
