wasmadefromflannelheadercards;I
wantedsomethingmychildrencould
beroughwith.I didn’thavea wayto
quiltit backthen,soit’sjustmachine
tacked,butit’sheldupwellthrough
children,cats,anda dragon.Notthebackofthequilt,butasa
battingsubstitute- I usedcurtainfabric
(athickwovenone)andendedupwith
8 numbfingersfora wholeweek!!!Well,I don’tusebattingorfabric
tobackmywallquilts.It’sallwool
blendedfeltforme.SinceI onlymake
quiltsforthewall,nothingneedstobe
washedever.I useNationalNonwovens
woolblendedfelt.Blackfeltforthe
middleanda colorthatmatchesthe
artworkforthebacking.Becausethe
feltsortofpeeksoutfromtheback,
thefeltbecomespartofthedesignand
I don’taddanybinding.Myfavorite
needlesareMicrotexsharp#60/8and
myfavoritethreadis SuperiorMagnif-
ico40#forthesewingmachine.I also
use#8perlecottontohandsewonmy
quiltsandit easilytravelsthroughthe
