Put the phrases with ну�жен, нужна�, ну�жно, нужны� into the past
tense.
For example:

Put the phrases in the past tense.
For example:
На�до встава�ть. На�до бы�ло встава�ть.
На�до идти� домо�й. Мо�жно рабо�тать. Тру�дно изуча�ть ру�сский язы�к.

Make up the phrases, put them in the past tense and then make them
negative, first in the present tense and then in the past.
For example:
У меня� есть сеcтра�. У меня� была� сестра�. У меня� нет сестры�.
У меня� не� было сестры�.

Make sure the verb agrees with the subject of the Russian sentence.
Remember that it will be different from the subject of the English sen-
tence. For example, in the Russian sentence Отцу� нра�вились мои�
рису�нки ‘Father liked my drawings’, рису�нки is the subject. When
followed by an infinitive нра�виться is in the neuter singular form: Mнe
нра�вилось рисова�ть ‘I liked to draw’.
