I usually do my shopping in our market. We have a very good market
in the main square of the town. The vegetables and fruit are not usually
very expensive, but the quality is good and everything is fresh. The
price of meat in the market is quite high, so I prefer to buy meat in the
large foodstore (гастроном) not far from our house. One can always
fi nd good cheap meat there. Today, I am preparing a large meal. It is
my daughter’s birthday. She is having a party (вечеринка) and has
invited many friends. So I have a lot to buy. I decided to make (prepare)
her favourite dish: meat with vegetables. I have already bought all the
vegetables, but today I have to buy a cake. I will go to the confectioner’s
where there is always a good choice of fresh cakes.
