In order to translate the adjective in an English expression such as
‘it is good/that is good’, Russian uses a form ending in -о: хорошо� ‘it
(that) is good’. It can also be combined with the word э�то:
Э ́ то типи�чно
That is typical’.

Cases
Russian is a language with a case system. Nouns appear in different
cases, indicated by different endings, according to the role they fulfil in
the sentence. There are six cases in Russian: nominative, accusative,
genitive, dative, instrumental, prepositional.

Nominative case
The nominative case of a noun is used when that noun is the subject of
