War, these secret wars, including those involving the Caucasus, were taken over and
further developed by the West against the Soviet Union. Thus, the Eurasian triangle of
Russia, the Caucasus, and Japan is an utterly forgotten history of cardinal importance
that, stretching from the Russo-Japanese War to World War Two, ultimately inuenced
Western Cold War strategies.
