Vision 2023

(Dennie Cody and DK Khattiya) #1

I have been a professional photographer for 55 years. I have
been organizing groups of photographers since the early 70’s.
My first was “Tangent Photographers” in Knoxville in 1972. I moved to Miami in
1978 and joined the South Florida Chapter of the American Society of Media
Photographers (ASMP) where I was Chapter President for 4 years and on the Board of Directors
for 20 years. In that time, I organized the “Picture South Project,” a 24 hour shoot and exhibit.
I was on the ASMP National Board of Directors for 4 years and from 1989-91 I was the National
Chairman of the ASMP “Ten Thousand Eyes”, a project I created to celebrate the 150th anniver-
sary of photography. It concluded with a photo exhibition at the New York International Center of
Photography (ICP) and the “Ten Thousand Eyes” book sponsored by Eastman Kodak. After mov-
ing to Bangkok, my partner/wife DK Khattiya and I were the organizers of the Bangkok Photogra-
phers Group (BPG) from 2011 until 2022. We are now the organizers of the DCDK Photographers
Forum (DPF). We have resided in Bangkok for the last 21 years.
