Morro Bay - Montana de Oro State Park - 25km
A short but hilly ride led to Montana de Oro State Park. It seemed the
Californian Coast would take considerably longer to traverse as it was graced by
many fantastic parks.
Montana de Oro State Park is rugged, magnificent, and remote. The camping
was rustic without electricity or showers but offered water and toilets. Nature
was the drawcard here; one could hike or bike the park’s many trails. It was a
pleasure to be off the bicycle and to stroll along these scenic trails rich in
birdlife.
