ACTIVITIES 2023

The European University Sports Association (EUSA) comprises

47 national university sports associations (NUSA) in Europe,

governing sport in higher education. These members serve on

local, regional, national, European and international levels. The

mission of the member associations of EUSA is to improve the

conditions of student athletes within their countries of several

levels, encouraging and enabling them to actively pursue

their university studies as well as engagement in sports.

Meetings

On January 30, a delegation

from the Portugal University

Sport Federation (FADU), led

by President Ricardo Nora,

visited the EUSA Office in

Ljubljana for a meeting with

representatives of EUSA. It was

the occasion to present some

of the new elements that are

now part of FADU’s directive

and operational structure and to

talk about future collaborations

between the two bodies that

oversee university sports in

Portugal and Europe. In the

same meeting, the organization

of the three European university

championships that Portugal

hosted in 2023 – in Braga, Aveiro

and Lisbon – was discussed,

as well as ongoing projects

and future partnerships,

both in the organization of

sport events and educational
