CHAMPIONSHIPS 2025
The championships season of 2025 is expected to be another year in which the
European Universities Championships will be hosted in different cities around
Europe. Student athletes will have another opportunity to enjoy competing
in their sport and have another enjoyable EUSA sport event experience.
The first one to host and to
open the European Universities
Championship in 2025 will be
University of Ljubljana and city of
Ljubljana, Slovenia, with the 3x3
Basketball championship. Not far
from here in Debrecen, Hungary,
in 2023 the championship in 3x3
Basketball was a great success,
so in 2025, from June 28 to July
2, Ljubljana will do its best to be
a great hosting city and provide
another amazing opportunity
for the athletes that will be part
of the competition. However,
Ljubljana has already proven
great organisational skills and
hosting abilities in the history
of EUC, being the place where
EUC Handball in 2009 and EUC
Badminton in 2017, took place.The second two European
Universities Championships,
planned to start a day after 3x3Basketball, are Tennis and Padel.
The multiple times host in the
past, the city of Coimbra will be
hosting one new sport, Padel
and one veteran sport Tennis. On
the banks of the river Mondego,
Coimbra is famous for its
university, the oldest in Portugal
and one of the oldest in Europe,
which over time has shaped its
image to become “the city of
students”, making this city theperfect hosting location for these
two sports. From June 29 – July
5, Coimbra will be offering days
full of sport, youth, and fun.Meanwhile, at the beginning
of July, we are also going to
be active at the European
Universities Championship in
Volleyball. After the beautiful
city of Braga in Portugal and
the great competition in 2023,
we are moving to the capital
