EUROPEAN UNIVERSITIES

HANDBALL CHAMPIONSHIP

PODGORICA, MONTENEGRO

JULY 8-14, 2023

Total number of 347 participants, from 23 teams

representing 19 universities from 11 countries, took part

in the 11th edition of the European Universities Handball

Championship that took place in Podgorica, Montenegro.

The competition was organised

by Students Sports Association

of Montenegro, along with the

University of Montenegro.

During this great event, EUSA

was represented by Milan Zvan,

SCAC Chair and the Technical

Delegate of Handball, Paivi

Mitrunen.

In the anticipating men’s final,

after a great fight and a great

match, the University of Stefan

cel Mare Suceava defeated the

French University of the Cote

d’Azur in front of more than 600

spectators in the Sports and

Cultural Center of the University

of Montenegro, The third

place went to the Portuguese

University Minho, who claimed

the victory in the match with the

University of Zagreb.

In the women’s competition,

Ovidius University won the finals

match against the Hungarian

University of Sports Sciences,

claiming the gold medal with
