The European Universities Rugby 7s Championship

took place in Lisbon, Portugal. This edition of the event

hosted 162 participants, a total number of 11 different

teams, representing 9 universities from 6 countries.

The European Universities

Rugby7s Championship took

place from August 28th to

31 st and represented the 40th

international event organized

by FADU Portugal University

Sports in their history.

The competition was organized

by FADU Portugal University

Sports, the University of Lisbon,

the Polytechnic Institute of

Lisbon, and NOVA University of

Lisbon, with the contribution of

Lisbon City Hall, the Portuguese

Sports and Youth Institute

(IPDJ), Academic Federation

of Lisbon (FAL) and the Higher

Education Sports Association of

Lisbon (ADESL).

EUSA was represented by

Andreas Csonka, EUSA SCAC

Chair Technical Delegate Mária

Gyolcsos, Miha Zvan EUSA

Sports Manager, Abosede Ajayi,

Chair of the EUSA Medical

Commision and Mr Luka Pozgaj,

Results Management Support.

In the men’s category, the

title of champions went to

the University of La Rochelle

(FRA) with a perfect campaign

without any loss. The second

place belonged to the University
