Bangkok Photographers Group is a community of likeminded locals and expatriates who enjoy photography and seek to develop their
talents. Undoubtedly, many of those reading this will already know what a friendly, welcoming community of skillful snappers we have,
but those who have never before heard of BPG may be pleased to hear that we welcome anyone with an interest in photography and an
association with Bangkok. Just look up “Bangkok Photographers” on Facebook or Meetup to find out how to join us.
The 54 photographers featured in the following pages represent the wide range of talent in the group. BPG has members from everycontinent except one, and that’s only because Antarctic penguins can’t handle Bangkok’s heat. A lot of the photos that follow were taken
by those who could handle it and joined us on our monthly photowalks around the Thai capital and nearby suburbs. However, unlike our
monthly publication – Bangkok Photo Walks, which you can read on Issuhub.com – these photos do not all come from the walks. This book is
instead a showcase of the best images that BPG members have produced in 2023, regardless of where in the world they were taken.
BPG 2023 is the fourth year-end collection published by the group and the first created entirely by the leadership team that took overfrom founders Dennie Cody and DK Khattiya in 2022. We have been delighted to see such excellent work from so many members. We are
proud to present 270 fantastic photos in this book, 20 of which were selected to be exhibited at Bangkok’s Photohostel & Photocafe in April
We hope that you enjoy the works in this book and that, like us, you will be inspired to pick up your own camera, regardless of its size orcomplexity or your experience with using it, and join us on a photowalk around Bangkok some time soon.
