- Carved stone block from Migdal in Galilee, with the earliest-known image of the Temple
menorah found in a synagogue. The stone, which is 24 inches long, 20 inches wide and 18
inches high and supported on stone legs, was located in the centre of the building, which dates
from the first century ce. - The façade of the Jerusalem Temple depicted on a tetradrachm minted by Jewish rebels in
Judaea in 132 ce. The memory of the Temple remained an enormously important element
in Judaism long after the Temple itself had been destroyed.
