NOTICE OF FY 2024 GRANT APPLICATIONS
PROGRAM OF PROJECTS

On an annual basis, the City of Battle Creek / Battle Creek Transit prepares a Program of Projects (POP) that forms
the basis for grant applications submitted to the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) for funding. FTA regulatory
guidance requires Battle Creek Transit to make the proposed POP available for public review and comment prior
to its approval by the City of Battle Creek Commission. In accordance with these guidelines, Battle Creek Transit
hereby gives notice of its intention to apply for financial assistance from the Federal Transit Administration (FTA).

Battle Creek Transit is requesting a total of $20,467,563 in Federal funding:

Persons or organizations may comment in writing on or before July 8, 2024 to Battle Creek Transit,
339 W. Michigan Avenue, Battle Creek, MI 49037 or via email to Mallory Avis at [email protected] and
use “Program of Projects” for the subject. If the program of project is revised, a final program of projects will be
published following the public comment period.

If requested, a public hearing will be scheduled, and advanced notice will be provided online at http://www.battlecreekmi.
gov/transit and to anyone who requests to be notified and/or provides comments on BCT’s FY2024 Program of
Projects. At that time, persons or organizations wishing to comment on the application may do so. A copy of
written comments, and any comments received at a public hearing, if held, will be submitted to the Federal Transit
Administration as part of the application.

If no comments are received, a public hearing is not requested, and the program of projects is not revised by
July 8, 2024, then the program of projects will become the final BCT program of projects submitted for FY2024.
