Another new attraction is a photo

scavenger hunt for cereal company

mascots in which people can snap

a picture of a mascot and upload it

to to Facebook or Instagram using

the hashtag #CerealSearch2024 for a

chance to be entered into “a cereal-

ously sweet giveaway at Cereal

Festival!” said Walden.

Vendors at the event include

Mother Moon, Eyemart Express,

Sugar Shop, Cereal City Candles,

Everdry Waterproofing of Michigan

and the Girl Scouts Heart of

Michigan.

Before all of this happens, though,

the Grand Cereal Parade will kick

off the festivities Friday, June 7 from

6:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. in downtown

Battle Creek on VanBuren from the

Kool Family Community Center to

McCamly Street and then turning

right onto McCamly.

The parade will turn right again

onto Michigan Avenue and return to

the Kool Family Community Center.

There is no grand marshal this

year, said Walden, so that the cereal

company mascots can lead the way.

“The mascots are going to be at
