This partnership dates back many
years, said Deputy Tim Weston.
“Since I’ve been with the depart-
ment, I’ve participated in 12 of
these,” he said, and, referring to his
18-year-old steed, “and for Dakota
here, it’s his 10th. It’s something we
really enjoy. It’s always a blast.”

through Sunday, June 16.
On Friday, June 14, the Galesburg
Library hosted a movie in the park
and on Saturday, parade day, visitors
also had access to the park behind
Galesburg City Hall for more ven-
dors, food trucks and kid friendly
activities.
This celebration was made possible
by not only Linda Carlton, along
with her 37 member council, and Art
Green, but the many volunteers and
city and county employees.
“This isn’t possible without all of
the input and help from our commu-
nity members. We love our commu-
nity and we’re just happy to do this,”
Carlton concluded.
