In May, the philanthropic group
Women Who Care awarded its quar-
terly donation to the Battle Creek
Regional History Museum.
Members met May 2 at First
Presbyterian Church in Battle Creek
to decide which organization would
receive a monetary donation.
“The group meets four times a
year in February, May, August and
November and is open to anyone
who has a passion for the arts and
wants to help,” said spokesperson
Carol Badgley.
Each member donates $100 per
quarter.
Once an organization is voted to
be a recipient, it is not eligible to
receive funds for two years.
All organizations must be a 501(c)
nonprofit, and all donations are tax-
deductible.
The next meeting of Women Who
Care is set for 11 a.m. Thursday,
Aug. 1, at First Presbyterian Church,
111 N.E. Capital Ave.
