The Michigan Shuffleboard
Association’s State Tournament took
place July 29-Aug. 1 on the courts
located near the front entrance to
Battle Creek’s Bailey Park, and was
an event that was hosted for the 10th
consecutive summer by the Battle
Creek Shuffleboard Club.
Following in a moment are top
results from the state tourney, accord-
ing to information provided by the
MSA.
But first, a reminder that the B.C.
Shuffleboard Club will continue to
meet every Monday, Wednesday and
Friday at 10 a.m. at the Bailey Park
courts for drop-in play through the
end of August and into September (as
weather permits); that experienced
member players and non-members
new to the sport are invited to attend
drop-in sessions (novices will be
afforded free instruction and equip-
ment); and that the BCSC still has
more event dates remaining on its
2024 calendar.
Those dates are Aug. 19-20 for
the Michigan Memorial Draw Any
Doubles tourney in B.C. that starts
at 10 a.m.; Aug. 26-27 for the Caro
Bring Your Own Partner Doubles
that starts at 8 a.m.; and Aug. 30 for
the Hot Dogs and Draw Any Doubles
event in B.C. that will get underway
at 10 a.m.

That said ... following are top state
tourney results. Note that “unrestrict-
ed” means amateurs and/or profes-
sionals.
