Binder Park GC hosts Mich. PGA
Junior League championships
Over 300 boys and girls from across the state converged on Binder Park Golf
Course in Battle Creek last Thursday through Saturday (Aug. 8-10) to compete
in the Michigan Section PGA Junior League age divisional season-ending
championships. B.C.’s contingent of players came from the Binder Park Junior
Golf Academy, directed by longtime (and still current) award-winning local
high school golf coach Tony Evans. Shown in this photo are players getting
ready for their tee times off the No. 1 tee on Binder Park’s nine-hole Preserve
Course (BPGC boasts three nine-hole courses and a three-hole practice
course) last Friday. For tourney results, see michiganpga.com. (Shopper News
