When kindergartener Zoey Shepard

arrived for her first day of school Monday

at Sonoma Elementary, she had one thing

on her mind already.

“Going to the playground,” said Zoey,

5, as she was dropped off to Mr. Yoder’s

class by her parents, step-parents and

grandma.

Monday was the first day for all of

Harper Creek Community Schools of

which Sonoma Elementary is a part while

also kicking off the 2024-2025 school year.
