The eighth annual Cereal City
KIDS Triathlon/Duathlon enjoyed its
largest turnout in event history last
Saturday morning (Aug. 17) when
close to 100 youngsters ages 4-13
participated in the event that had its
start and finish line located at the
Willard Beach area in Battle Creek.
The event, again put on by the
Cereal City Athletics organization,
included a swim, bike and run – with
longer- and shorter-course options
available depending on a child’s abil-
ity.

The KIDS Triathlon was not timed,
as having fun – according to CCA
officials – while learning about
healthy lifestyle activities was the
main goal of the event.
Each participant received a com-
petition medal, a t-shirt and a swim
cap.

pants is available at cerealcityathlet-
