Senior Dominic Lowrie on the
boys’ side and junior Julia Faber on
the girls’ side turned in first-place
performances last Saturday morn-
ing for the host Beavers as the local
Fall 2024 prep cross country season
got underway with the running of
the annual Harper Creek Optimist
Invitational.
The event included senior-junior
and sophomore-freshman races for
both the boys and the girls – and
then all finishing times were com-
bined to tabulate final team scores.
On the boys’ side, Parchment
placed first with 26 points and
Harper Creek was second with 30.
Also competing in the boys’ races
were student-athletes from the Battle
