“Under the Radar Michigan” filmed a new episode in Calhoun County, says Annie Kelley, communications manager for the Calhoun County Visitors Bureau. The PBS show is hosted by Tom Daldin and produced by Jim Edelman, and they travel around Michigan to find fun things to do and see. The episode will include Clara’s on the River in Battle Creek, Cornwell’s Turkeyville in Marshall, Albion Malleable Brewing Co. in Albion and Battle Creek’s Station 66, a retro roadside stop with food and Michigan products. The show will air at 8:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 12, on WGVU. “Working with the guys from ‘Under the Radar’ was a lot of fun,” said Curt Tramel, co-owner of Station

The family businesses will be featured together: “Jenny and I were both thrilled to be able to share a little taste of downtown Albion with ‘Under the Radar,’” Ben said. “It’s always a joy to talk about our businesses and community that we are so passionate about.” Clara’s on the River will be hosting a premiere party on Sept. 12, playing the episode on multiple TVs. “We recommend getting there at 8 p.m. so you can get a seat and order your food in time for the 8:30 p.m. show,” said Kelley. “Spending the afternoon with Tom Daldin and his crew at Clara’s on the River could not have been more fun,” said Ross Simpson, owner of Clara’s. “We love ‘Under the Radar Michigan,’ and we couldn’t be more thrilled to be featured in the upcom- ing episode on Battle Creek.”
