Marilyn M.
Taylor passed
away Oct. 2,
2024, sur-
rounded by
loved ones, in
her home.
Marilyn
was the first
of four chil-
dren born to
John and Laura Kosanke Wulf on
Dec. 10, 1927, in Kouts, Ind. She
was raised and educated in both
Kouts, Ind., and Battle Creek, Mich.
Marilyn graduated from The Henry
Ford Hospital School of Nursing
in Detroit, Mich., and went on to
work as a Registered Nurse in
Community Health. She later retired
as the director of the Visiting Nurse
Association in Lancaster, Pa., in
1988.
Marilyn’s strong faith was vis-
ible to all. Alongside her husband,
Marilyn served and volunteered in
many capacities at Mount Calvary
Lutheran Church, Westminster
Presbyterian Church, Laborers for
Christ, and served on the Board
of the United Way of Lancaster,
Pa., and as Resident Council for
the Board of Directors at Brethren
Village Retirement Community.
Marilyn was a good neighbor and
friend to all, full of wisdom, impart-
ing advice and support. Marilyn
especially loved attending activities
to cheer on her grandchildren and
great-grandchildren and was an
avid fan of her UNC Tarheels and
Detroit Tigers.
In addition to her parents, Marilyn
was predeceased by her husband
of 67 years, Charles P. “Chuck”
Taylor, as well as her sister Lois
Wulf and her brother, John Wulf.
Her legacy continues through
her four children, Kate Queen (Joe
Sam) of Waynesville, N.C., Mark
Taylor (Debra) of Millersville, Pa.,
Lori Porreca (Dan) of Landisville,
Pa., and Tom Taylor (Lori) of
Lancaster, Pa. Marilyn is also sur-
vived by her sister Carol Oberly
of Northfield, Mich. She will be
missed by 10 grandchildren, 14
great-grandchildren, and many dear
nieces and nephews.
A memorial service is planned
for Oct. 12, 2024, in the Chapel of
Brethren Village, 3001 Lititz Pike,
Lititz, PA, at 11 a.m. The family
will greet attendees following the

Linda Marie
Brown, 74,
of Battle
Creek, Mich.,
passed away
Wednesday,
Oct. 2, 2024,
at her home.
She was born
June 20, 1950,
the daughter
of the late Selma A. Brown and
Alice (Charles) Brown.
Linda was a graduate of Battle
Creek Central High School. She
was a member of Holy Light
Missionary Baptist Church, where
she sang in the choir and served as
an usher. She enjoyed bingo and
playing cards.
Linda is survived by her daugh-
ters, Reyna Burgess, Selma Brown,
Charmika Brown; son Trenton
(Latonia) Brown; numerous grand-
children and great-grandchildren;
sisters Eunice Bush and Nadine
Watson; and brother Sidney Brown.
She was preceded in death by
her parents; her sisters Thelma
Jones and Wilma Stephens; brother
Nathaniel Brown.
A private family service will be
held.

Angeline
Elizabeth
Hinton, 93, of
Battle Creek,
Mich., went
to be with the
Lord on Friday,
Sept. 27, 2024,
at Rose Arbor
Hospice. She
was born June
7, 1931, the
daughter of the late Frank George
Komarck and Anna Helen (Frcak)
Komarck.
Angie was a graduate of Battle
Creek Central High School. She
attended Kellogg Community
College, where she received her
nursing degree. She was employed
during her childhood at the fam-
ily grocery store, Komarck’s Super
Market. After graduating from nurs-
ing school, Angie worked at Leila
Hospital in the critical care and
surgical units. She also worked at
the Veterans Administration Medical
Center. She was a member of St.
Philip Catholic Church.
Angie is survived by her daughter,
Vicky (Dan) Wicker; stepchildren
Rod Hinton, Robin Hinton and
Lorinda (Allen) Smith; sisters-in-law
Dorothy Wall and Jeanette Komarck;
brothers-in-law Barney (Violet)
Hinton and Claude (Linda) Hinton;
grandchildren Rob (Kimberly)
Morris and Angena (Jeff) Schwartz;
step-grandchildren Jerilyn (Craig)
Cole, Jessica (Andy) Taylor, Kerstin
(Gary) Wade, Stormi (James) Little,
Brad Hinton, Barbara (Jaime);

Charlotte Morris and Jeffrey

step-great-great-grandchildren;

(Scott) Bradley; special friend and
neighbor John Byrne.
She was preceded in death by
her parents; husband of 39 years,
James (Jim) Hinton; sister Annie
Ure; brothers Paul (Bud) Komarck
and John Komarck.
Angeline enjoyed traveling with
her husband, Jim, especially to their
winter home in Florida. They col-
lected and dealt in antiques. Angie
enjoyed square dancing, classic
cars and going to car shows.
A private family service will be
held.
Inurnment will take place in
Memorial Park Cemetery.
