Charitable Union winter coat
giveaway starts Nov. 4

Charitable Union held its annual chil-
dren’s winter coat and winter accessories
giveaway Oct. 22-24 at First Congregational
Church in Battle Creek. Over the three-day
even, nearly 3,000 coats, snow pants, boots,
gloves, hats and scarves were distributed to
children up to age 18.

kids get the free coats before the adults;
