Collins completed his residency
in obstetrics and gynecology at St.
Francis Hospital and Medical Center

in Hartford,
Conn., and
earned his
Doctor of
Osteopathic
Medicine from
Michigan State
University.
With nine
years of expe-
rience in the
field, he was
most recently
affiliated with Grace Health.
Ramirez completed her resi-
dency in obstetrics and gynecology
at Corewell Health Butterworth
Hospital in Grand Rapids, and
received her Doctor of Osteopathic
Medicine from Arizona College of
Osteopathic Medicine at Midwestern
University in Glendale, Ariz.
“I became a doctor to help others.
It’s incredibly rewarding to posi-
tively impact someone’s life,” said
Ramirez.
Both doctors are currently accepting

Pastors and ministers in Battle
Creek will gather at 1:30 p.m.
Sunday, Nov. 3, at City Hall
and walk to the Sojourner Truth
Monument in a “Prayer Walk.”
The prayer walk is being led by
members of the clergy who are pray-
ing for a safe, peaceful and fair elec-
tion, and one that will be respected
and accepted by the citizens of all
communities, said a press release
from Second Missionary Baptist
Church.
The prayer walk is not a political
event that endorses candidates or
encourages people to vote a certain
way. There will be no political signs

allowed.
Three prayers will be said at the
monument: one for communities
across the country to have a fair
and safe election; the second will be
prayed for the will of the people to
be respected; and the final prayer will
be for those who are electedto serve
in the best interests of the people, the
press release stated.
All local clergy and the public
are welcome to attend. Those who
choose not to walk cangather at

LEROY TOWNSHIP PUBLIC NOTICE


The Leroy Township Board will conduct a Public Hearing on November 7, 2024, at 9:30 am at the Leroy Township Community Build-
ing, 8146 4 Mile Road, East Leroy, MI 49051, as required under State of Michigan Public Act 188 of 1954, Public Improvements.
The purpose of the Public Hearing is to hear any objections to the special assessment roll for Wastewater Special Assessment District
No. 1, as outlined under Leroy Township Resolution 2024-10-01, and as adopted by the Leroy Township Board on October 17, 2024.
The creation of the Wastewater Special Assessment District No. 1 and the proposed special assessment roll shall be necessary to pay
for those improvements to the Edgebrook Pump Station O-2. The special assessment district shall consist of the following parcels of
land within Leroy Township:

    In order to appeal the amount of any special assessment, affected owners or parties with an interest must protest the proposed

    East Leroy, MI 49051, or by protesting at the hearing. An owner or party having an interest in the real property affected by the special
    assessment may file a written appeal of the special assessment with the Michigan Tax Tribunal within 30 days after the confirmation of
