To sum it up, from former

it was magic. The music was

‘Dementia Friendly Night’ slated at Willard Library
Stephanie Boyd explained some of
the benefits of the selected activi-
ties.
“Music awakens the brain, and
with it, the rich memories associ-
ated with familiar songs,” she said,
adding that “painting and crafts are
a way to express feelings safely
and with creativity, and puzzles are
both entertaining and cognitively
beneficial.”
Snacks and beverages will be
available during the event, but
attendees are also free to bring
their own favorite snacks to share
with others. Throughout the eve-
ning, guests are encouraged to take
photos, capturing special moments
together.
Resources and information about
local support groups and services
will also be available. CareWell
services will be on hand to provide
guidance and support.
“Dementia Friendly Night is an
opportunity for families to relax a
little and have fun while connect-
ing with others facing similar chal-
lenges,” said Boyd. “Dementia can
be an isolating diagnosis, and we
want to create a safe, welcoming
space where all feel comfortable
and supported.”
“Dementia Friendly Night” will
be offered monthly on Wednesdays,
Nov. 20, and Dec. 18.
