Gemma Crowe’s delightful designs for her
Infamous & Mini Swim label are the perfect
mummy-and-me style statement. The strong,
sexy adult designs are focused on making the
wearer feel stylish and empowered, while the
mini versions are delightfully cute and age
appropriate. Gemma answers our questions.
WHERE DID THE CONCEPT COME FROM?
My passion for the Infamous & Mini Swim
collection came about through Instagram.I
adore the supportive communities of women
built through the platform, not only for thedivine
imagery but the conversations about kids,
breastfeeding, husbands; you name it, we discuss
it! I love beautiful accounts where mummas
match with their minis... and I realised therewas
no complementary and high-quality swimwear
[in the market] for mums to match with their
kids. And so, my concept was born.
HOW DO YOU MAKE THE RANGE APPROPRIATE
FOR MUM AND BUB? For the women’s styles
I stuck with a few of our original designsthen
added in some more resort-style one pieces.
I’m a mum of three boys and really want tofeel
comfortable at the beach, so these pieces were
based around my style. For the kids’ designs, I
basically incorporated di erent looks that I love,
like ru es, then madethem super kid friendly.
