If cats were a measure of wealth, I’d be one of the richest men in Bangkok. Born in Bang-
kok in 1979, I spent over 30 years in the United States before returning to my hometown
in 2015 (“hometown” may be misleading, as I left Thailand when I was four). I’ve worked
as an art director, graphic designer, and photographer, focusing on presenting how I see
the world to others. After a demanding post-COVID job forced me to put photography
on hold, I’ve recently started getting back into it. For quite some time now, a growing
interest in the Thai occult has been influencing my work, shaping the things I like seeing. Tong Mangkarat
