On May 2, 1136, Koryo envoys to the Chin court condoled on the
death of the Grand Empress Dowager on Feb.12 (Chin shih 4:2b).^81
On Nov.15, 1136, Hsi-tsung of Chin appointed envoys to congratu-
late the king of Koryo on his birthday (Chin shih 4:2b).
At some time during 1136, a Koryo envoy to the Southern Sung
court landed in Ming. He was presented silver and silk but sent back
out of fear that he might be a Jurchen spy. Thereafter, diplomatic
relations between Southern Sung and Koryo were interrupted for a
long time (Sung shih 487:18a; Wen-hsien t’ung-k’ao 325:53b).
On Jan.23, 1137, the New Year’s Day, Koryo envoys congratulated
at the Chin court (Chin shih 4:3a).
On Feb.8, 1137, Koryo envoys to the Chin court congratulated on
the birthday of Hsi-tsung (Chin shih 4:3a).
On Feb.12, 1138, the New Year’s Day, Koryo envoys congratulated
at the Chin court (Chin shih 4:3b).

On Feb.17, 1139, Koryo envoys to the Chin congratulated on the
birthday of Hsi-ts’ung (Chin shih 4:4b).
On Jan.22, 1140, the New Year’s Day, Koryo envoys congratulated
at the Chin court (Chin shih 4:4b).
On Feb.7, 1140, Koryo envoys to the Chin court congratulated on
the birthday of Hsi-tsung (Chin shih 4:6a).
On Feb.9, 1141, the New Year’s Day, Koryo envoys congratulated
at the Chin court (Chin shih 4:6b).
On Feb.25, 1141, Koryo envoys to the Chin court congratulated

On Dec.14, 1141, the Koryo State offered congratulations to the
Chin court (Chin shih 4:8a).
On Jan.29, 1142, the New Year’s Day, Koryo envoys congratulated
