Grand Judge, to recognize Wang Hsien as king of Koryo. In the 6th
month (June/July), envoys from Wang Hsien to the Chin court thanked
for the recognition (Chin shih 4:12a, 12b).
On Feb.10, 1149, the New Year’s Day, Koryo envoys congratulated
at the Chin court (Chin shih 4:13a).
On Feb.26, 1149, Koryo envoys to the Chin court congratulated
on the birthday of Hsi-tsung (Chin shih 4:13b).
In the 1st month (January) of 1150, the Dismissed Emperor^82 of
Chin sent the Commander-in-chief of the Imperial Bodyguard to
inform the Koryo court of his ascension (Chin shih 5:3b-4a). Emperor
Hsi-tsung had been murdered on Jan.9. The Dismissed Emperor was
his elder brother and instigator of the assassination.
Koryo congratulated the Dismissed Emperor twice on his enthrone-
ment, on Apr.8 and June 27, 1150 (Chin shih 5:4a, 4b-5a).
On Jan.20, 1151, the New Year’s Day, Koryo envoys congratulated
at the Chin court (Chin shih 5:6a).
On Feb.4, 1151, Koryo envoys to the Chin court congratulated on
the birthday of the Dismissed Emperor (Chin shih 5:6a).
In the 6th month (July/Aug.), the Dismissed Emperor of Chin sent
a mission to congratulate the king of Koryo on his birthday (Chin shih
5:7a).
On Feb.8, 1152, the New Year’s Day, Koryo envoys congratulated
at the Chin court (Chin shih 5:7b).
On Feb.23, 1152, Koryo envoys to the Chin court congratulated
on the birthday of the Dismissed Emperor (Chin shih 5:8a).
In the 9th month (October) of 1152, the Dismissed Emperor of
Chin sent a mission headed by the Commissioner of Waterways to
congratulate the king of Koryo on his birthday (Chin shih 5:8b).
On Jan.27, 1153, the New Year’s Day, the Dismissed Emperor of
Chin did not hold court. He ordered the high officials to receive the
envoys from Koryo and to acccept their gifts (Chin shih 5:9a)
On Feb.11, 1153, Koryo envoys to the Chin court congratulated
on the birthday of the Dismissed Emperor (Chin shih 5:9a).
On Sep.20, the Dismissed Emperor of Chin appointed a Gentleman-
of-the-Palace of the the Ministry of Personnel as envoy to congratulate
the king of Koryo on his birthday (Chin shih 5:10a).
