Koryo, Wang Hao, to the Chin court thanked for the recognition
(Chin shih 7:2b).
On Jan.16, 1173, the New Year’s Day, Koryo envoys congratulated
at the Chin court (Chin shih 7:4a).
On Apr.14, 1173, Koryo envoys to the Chin court congratulated
on the birthday of Shih-tsung (Chin shih 7:4a).
In the 11th month (Dec./Jan.1174) of the Chin year 1173, Shih-
tsung sent the Commissioner of Presentations to congratulate the king
of Koryo on his birthday (Chin shih 7:5b).
On Feb.4, 1174, the New Year’s Day, Koryo envoys congratulated
at the Chin court (Chin shih 7:6a).
On Apr.4, 1174, Koryo envoys to the Chin court congratulated on
the birthday of Shih-tsung (Chin shih 7:6a).
On Dec.20, 1174, Shih-tsung sent the Commissioner of the Impe-
rial Regalia Office to congratulate the king of Koryo on his birthday
(Chin shih 7:7b).^88
On Jan.25, 1175, the New Year’s Day, Koryo envoys congratulated
at the Chin court
On Mar.24, Koryo envoys to the Chin court congratulated on the
birthday of Shih-tsung.
On Sep.29, 1175, the Regent of Koryo’s Western Capital, Chao
Wei-ch’ung, appealed to the Chin. He had risen against the king,
Wang Hao, and wished to surrender with more than 40 towns west
of the Tz’u-pei Range and east of the Yalu River. This was rejected
(Chin shih 7:7b).
On Oct.29, 1175,^89 a mission of 96 men from Wang Hao of Koryo
to the Chin court requested the execution of Chao Wei-ch’ung (Chin
shih 7:8a; 135:7a).
On Dec.15, 1175, Shih-tsung sent an Auxiliary General to con-
gratulate the king of Koryo on his birthday (Chin shih 7:8b).
On Feb.13, 1176, the New Year’s Day, Koryo envoys congratulated
at the Chin court (Chin shih 7:8b).
The birthday of Sheng-tsung of Chin in 1176 fell on Apr.11. Because
