On Jan.23, 1186, the New Year’s Day, Koryo envoys congratulated
at the Chin court (Chin shih 8:12a).
On Mar.23, 1186, Koryo envoys to the Chin court congratulated
on the birthday of Shih-tsung (Chin shih 8:12a).^92
In the 4th month(May/June) of 1186, Shih-tsung sent the Commis-
sioner of the Visitors Bureau with gifts to Koryo (Chin shih 8:13b).
On Feb.10, 1187, the New Year’s Day, Koryo envoys congratulated
at the Chin court (Chin shih 8:17b).
On Apr.11, 1187, Koryo envoys to the Chin court congratulated
on the birthday of Shih-tsung (Chin shih 8:18b).
On Jan.3, 1188, Shih-tsung sent an Edict Attendant of the Han-
lin Academy to congratulate the king of Koryo on his birthday (Chin
shih 8:20a).
On Jan.30, 1188, the New Year’s Day, Koryo envoys congratulated
at the Chin court (Chin shih 8:20b).
On Mar.30, 1188, Koryo envoys to the Chin court congratulated
on the birthday of Shih-tsung (Chin shih 8:21a).
On Dec.13, 1188,^93 Shih-tsung sent the Director of the Grand
Judge to congratulate the king of Koryo on his birthday (Chin shih 8:
23b-24a).
On Jan.19, 1189, the New Year’s Day, Shih-tsung was ill with a
great sweat and could not hold court. The envoys from Koryo were
sent home (Chin shih 8:24a).
On Jan.31, 1189, Chin sent envoys to the Koryo court to announce
the death of Emperor Shih-tsung on Jan.20 (Chin shih 9:2b). He was
succeeded by his grandson Chang-tsung.
On Aug.10, envoys from the king of Koryo to the Chin court con-
doled and sacrificed. That month, the high officials of Chin informed
Koryo that Chang-tsung’s birthday would be celebrated on the 1st
day of the 9th month (Chin shih 9:4a-4b).
On Aug.26, 1189,^94 Koryo envoys to the Chin court congratulated
Chang-tsung on his enthronement (Chin shih 9:4b).
On Oct.10, 1189, Koryo envoys arrived at the Chin court to con-
