On Oct.24, 1189, Chang-tsung sent the Commissioner of the Service
Overseeing the Imperial Hand-drawn Carriage with gifts to Koryo
court (Chin shih 9:5b).
On Dec.14, 1189, Chang-tsung sent the Commissioner of the Palace
Audience Gate of the West to congratulate the king of Koryo on his
birthday (Chin shih 9:6b).
On Feb.5, 1190, Koryo envoys arrived at the Chin court to con-
gratulate on the New Year’s Day. On Feb.7, the New Year’s Day,
Chang-tsung did not accept congratulations because of the mourning
for Shih-tsung (Chin shih 9:7a).
On Sep.28, 1190, Koryo envoys arrived at the Chin court to con-
gratulate on the birthday of Chang-tsung. On Oct.1 was the imperial
birthday, but because of the mourning for Shih-tsung, Chang-tsung
did not hold court (Chin shih 9:9b).
In the 11th month (December) of 1190, Chang-tsung sent the Com-
missioner of the Palace Audience Gate of the West to congratulate
the king of Koryo on his birthday (Chin shih 9:10a).
On Jan.12, 1191, Koryo envoys arrived at the Chin court to con-
gratulate on the New Year’s Day. On Jan.27, the New Year’s Day,
Chang-tsung did not hold court because of the mourning for Shih-
tsung (Chin shih 9:10b).
On Feb.12, 1191, Chang-tsung sent envoys to Koryo to announce
the death of his mother, the Empress Dowager, on Jan.7 (Chin shih
9:10b).
On Apr.22, 1191, Koryo envoys condoled and sacrificed at the
Chin court (Chin shih 9:11b).
On Sep.9, 1191, Koryo envoys arrived at the Chin court to con-
gratulate on the birthday of Chang-tsung. On Sep.21 was the imperial
birthday, but because of the mourning for the Empress Dowager,
Chang-tsung did not hold court (Chin shih 9:12b).
On Dec.9, 1191, Chang-tsung sent the Vice Commissioner of the
Court Attendant Service to congratulate the king of Koryo on his
birthday (Chin shih 9:13a).
On Jan.15, 1192, Koryo envoys arrived at the Chin court to con-
gratulate on the New Year’s Day. On Jan.17, the New Year’s Day,
Chang-tsung did not hold court because of the mourning for the
Empress Dowager (Chin shih 9:13b).
