Koryo on his birthday (Chin shih 10:14a).
On Jan.20, 1197, the New Year’s Day, Koryo envoys congratulated
at the Chin court (Chin shih 10:14a).
On Oct.13, 1197, Koryo envoys to the Chin court congratulated
on the birthday of Chang-tsung (Chin shih 10:16a).
On Nov.21, 1197, the Imperial Chancellery of Chin reported to
Chang-tsung that, according to information received, the king of Koryo,
Wang Cho (Sinjong), had taken over the government from his old and
sick elder brother Wang Hao (Chin shih 10:16b).^95
On Feb.8, 1198, the New Year’s Day, there was an eclipse of
the sun. Chang-tsung postponed the festival until Feb.10, when he
received the envoys from Sung and Hsia (Chin shih 11:1a). None are
mentioned from Koryo.
On May 6, 1198, envoys from Koryo to the Chin court announced
officially that Wang Cho had taken over the government (Chin shih
11:1b).
In the 4th month (May/June) of 1198, Chang-tsung of Chin sent
an Attending Secretary to Koryo to make inquiries (Chin shih 11:2a).
In the 12th month (Dec./Jan., 1199) of the Chin year 1198, envoys
from Wang Cho of Koryo were received at the Chin court (Chin shih
11:2b).
In the 3rd month (Mar./Apr.) of 1199, Chang-tsung sent envoys to
the Koryo court to recognize Wang Cho as king (Chin shih 11:3b).
On Sep.22, 1199, Koryo envoys to the Chin court congratulated
on the birthday of Chang-tsung (Chin shih 11:5a-5b).
On Jan.18, 1200, the New Year’s Day, Koryo envoys congratulated
at the Chin court (Chin shih 11:6a).
On Oct.10, 1200, Koryo envoys to the Chin court congratulated
on the birthday of Chang-tsung (Chin shih 11:7b).
On Feb.5, 1201, the New Year’s Day, Koryo envoys congratulated
at the Chin court (Chin shih 11:8b).
In the 5th month (June) of 1201, Chang-tsung sent the Auxiliary
[Commissioner] of the Palace Audience Gate of the East to the Koryo
court with gifts (Chin shih 11:9b).
On Sep.29, 1201, Koryo envoys to Chin congratulated on the
birthday of Chang-tsung (Chin shih 11:10a).
