Southern Sung sent a Supernumerary Gentleman of the Bureau of
Reception and an Attendant Gentleman to Hsia with a communica-
tion for Ch’ien-shun (Sung shih 486:17b).
On Nov.9, 1128, Hsia envoys to the Chin court congratulated on
the birthday of T’ai-tsung (Chin shih 3:12a).
On Jan.12, 1129, the New Year’s Day, Hsia envoys congratulated
at the Chin court (Chin shih 3:12a).
On Aug.5, 1129, Kao-tsung of Southern Sung sent a Supernumer-
ary Gentleman of the Bureau of Reception as envoy to Hsia (Sung shih
25:17b; 486:18b).
On Nov.28, 1129, Hsia envoys to the Chin court congratulated on
the birthday of T’ai-tsung (Chin shih 3:13a).
On Feb.10, 1130, the New Year’s Day, Hsia envoys congratulated
at the Chin court (Chin shih 3:13a).
In the 1st month (Feb./Mar.) of 1130, Kao-tsung of Southern Sung
sent envoys to Hsia (Sung shih 26:2a, 486:18b-19a).
On Nov.17, 1130, Hsia envoys to the Chin court congratulated on
the birthday of T’ai-tsung (Chin shih 3:14b).
On Jan.31, 1131, the New Year’s Day, Hsia envoys congratulated
at the Chin court (Chin shih 3:15a).
In the 8th month (Aug./Sep.) of 1131, an edict of Kao-tsung of
Southern Sung stated that Hsia was basically an enemy state (Sung
shih 486:19a).
On Nov.6, 1131, Hsia envoys to the Chin court congratulated on
the birthday of T’ai-tsung (Chin shih 3:15b).
On Jan.20, 1132, the New Year’s Day, Hsia envoys congratulated
at the Chin court. On Nov.24, envoys congratulated on the birthday
of T’ai-tsung (Chin shih 3:15b, 16a).
On Feb.7. 1133, the New Year’s Day, Hsia envoys congratulated
at the Chin court. On Nov.13, envoys congratulated on the birthday
of T’ai-tsung (Chin shih 3:16b, 17a).

On July 27, 1134, Kao-tsung of Southern Sung ordered the military
commander Wu Chieh (1093-1139) to send a confidential envoy to
