On May 17, 1011, a Liao envoy to the Sung court gave an account
of the war against Koryo (Sung hui-yao kao 5257:44a).
On Jan.21, 1012, Liao envoys arrived at the Sung court to con-
gratulate on the New Year’s day of Jan.26 (Hsü Tzu-chih t’ung-chien
ch’ang-pienp.676).
On Jan.26, 1012, the New Year’s Day, Sung envoys congratulated
at the Liao court (Liao shih 15:3b).
In the 7th month (July/Aug.) of 1012, Sheng-tsung sent two envoys
to the Sung court to congratulate on the birthday of Chen-tsung^70
and the Assistant Commissioner for National Credentials and another
envoy to congratulate on the New Year’s Day of Feb.13, 1013. The
latter mission arrived at the Sung court on Feb.8 (Liao shih 15:4a; Hsü
Tzu-chih t’ung-chien ch’ang-pien p.700).
In 1013, a Sung envoy, on returning from Liao, reported on the
conditions in that state. Another returning envoy reported on the
customs of the Khitan (Sung hui-yao kao 5257:44b, 46a-46b).
In the 10th month (Nov./Dec.) of 1013, Sheng-tsung sent envoys
to the Sung court to congratulate on the birthday of Chen-tsung^71
(Liao shih 15:7a).
On Dec.20, 1014, Liao envoys arrived at the Sung court to con-
gratulate on the birthday of Chen-tsung^72 (Hsü Tzu-chih t’ung-chien
ch’ang-pienp.735).
On Feb.5, 1016, Liao envoys arrived at the Sung court to con-
gratulate on the New Year’s Day of Feb.11 (Hsü Tzu-chih t’ung-chien
ch’ang-pienp.756).
On Dec.27, 1016, Liao envoys arrived at the Sung court to con-
gratulate on the birthday of Chen-tsung^73 (Hsü Tzu-chih t’ung-chien
ch’ang-pienp.783).
On Jan.25, 1017, Liao envoys arrived at the Sung court to con-
gratulate on the New Year’s Day of Jan.31 (Hsü Tzu-chih t’ung-chien
ch’ang-pienp.784).
On Jan.27, 1017, two envoys from Chen-tsung arrived at the Liao
