Chin envoys arrived at the Southern Sung court to congratulate on
the birthday of Hsiao-tsung.^49 They had received their orders in the
9th month (Sep./Oct.) (Sung shih 35:17b; Chin shih 7:19a).
On Jan.17, 1181, the New Year’s Day, Souther Sung envoys con-
gratulated at the Chin court. They had received their orders on Oct.29,
- On the same day, Chin envoys congratulated at the Southern
Sung court. They had received their orders on Dec.5, 1180, and arrived
on Jan.13, 1181 (Sung shih 35:7a, 8a; Chin shih 7:20a;8:1a).
On Mar.17, 1181, Southern Sung envoys to the Chin court con-
gratulated on the birthday of Shih-tsung. They had received their
orders on Dec.13, 1180 (Sung shih 35:7b; Chin shih 8:1b-2a).
On Nov.29, 1181, Chin envoys arrived at the Southern Sung court
to congratulate on the birthday of Hsiao-tsung^50 (Sung shih 35:10a).
On Feb.5, 1182, the New Year’s Day, Southern Sung envoys con-
gratulated at the Chin court. They had received their orders on Nov.14, - On the same day, the Vice Inspector-general and other Chin
envoys congratulated at the Southern Sung court. They had received
their orders on Oct.1, 1181, and arrived on Feb.1, 1182 (Sung shih 35:
10a, 11a; Chin shih 8:3a).^51
On Apr.5, 1182, Southern Sung envoys to the Chin court congratu-
lated on the birthday of Shih-tsung. They had received their orders
on Jan.1 (Sung shih 35:10b; Chin shih 8:3b).
On Nov.18, 1182, the General of the Guards of the Left and other
Chin envoys arrived at the Southern Sung court to congratulate on
the birthday of Hsiao-tsung.^52 They had received their orders in the
9th month (October) of 1181 (Sung shih 35:13a; Chin shih 8:4a).
On Jan.26, 1183, the New Year’s Day, Southern Sung envoys
congratulated at the Chin court. They had received their orders on
Oct.29, 1182. On the same day, a Master of Writing of the Ministry of
Personnel and other Chin envoys congratulated at the Southern Sung
court. They had received their orders on Dec.6, 1182, and arrived on
Jan.22, 1183 (Sung shih 35:13a; Chin shih 8:4a, 4b).
On Mar.26, 1183, Southern Sung envoys to the Chin court con-
