FISU OCEANIA
FISU Oceania is the smallest of the Continental University
Sport Federations and has relations with 12 National
University Sport Federations in American Samoa, Australia,
Cook Islands, Fiji, French Polynesia, Guam, Marshall Islands,
New Caledonia, New Zealand, Northern Mariana Islands,
Papua New Guinea and Samoa.
FISU Oceania’s vision is for
all university, college and
tertiary students of Oceania to
be able to participate in sport
and leadership opportunities.
Our strategic pillars focus
on leadership, development,
engagement and partnerships.
FISU Oceania strives to engage
more university students from the
Pacific region by promoting sport
and leadership opportunities. We
want university sport to positively
impact university, college and
tertiary students and their
communities.
In 2024, we undertook a
comprehensive revision of
our Strategic Plan, reflecting
our commitment to aligning
with FISU’s global vision while
addressing the unique needs
of our region. We have also
been actively engaged in the
global development of university
sport via the FISU Development
Committee and Education
Committee.
In addition, we have further
increased our engagement
with major regional partners,
enhancing connections to the
Pacific Games and Oceania
National Olympic Committees
(ONOC) to create more
opportunities for university
student athletes, officials and
strengthen pathways for sport
development across Oceania.
FISU Oceania remains an active
Continental University Sports
Federation and looks forward
to continued collaboration with
our friends from EUSA into 2025
and beyond. We also take this
opportunity to wish our friends
at EUSA a very happy 25th
anniversary year.
