JULY 18 – AUGUST 1
SALERNO – ITALY
The European Universities Games 2026 in Salerno will bring
together thousands of student-athletes from across Europe
for an exciting celebration of sports, camaraderie, and
culture, all set in the breathtaking Campania region of Italy.
In preparation for EUG 2026,
the EUSA Convention took
place in Salerno from October
10–14, 2024, bringing together
around 100 delegates from
across Europe. As part of the
event’s preparatory programs,
participants from various
European nations unanimously
expressed their appreciation for
the University Campus of Salerno
in Fisciano, the University
Theatre, the canteen, and the
cultural richness of Campania.
A guided tour of the Temples of
Paestum, among the world’s most
remarkable monuments, added
to the convention’s experience,
immersing attendees in the
millennia-old history of Paestum,
a key city of Magna Graecia.
It saw the excellent participation
of the first group of volunteers
for the EUG 2026 event, students
from the University of Salerno
who supported the event with
passion and commitment
together with the organizational
staff of CUS Salerno and the
entire EUSA structure.
On this occasion, the Organizing
Committee proposed to organize
the European 3x3 Basketball
Championships between the
end of July and the beginning of
August 2025 as a test event for
the EUG 2026 at the University of
Salerno.
