In total 123 participants, repre-
senting 43 universities from 21
countries, took part in the strong
and entertaining matches on
the Beach Volleyball courts in
Miskolc.
In the Beach Volleyball com-
petition we reached 50%-50%
participation in terms of male and
female athletes.
Even a rainy final day couldn’t
dampen the spirit of competition
as players battled for medals. In
the men’s final, the University of
Vienna (AUT) claimed victory in
an all-Austrian showdown against
the University of Klagenfurt (AUT),
taking home the gold. Vytautas
Magnus University (LTU) secured
the bronze with a hard-fought win
in the third-place match.
On the women’s side, Lithuanian
Sports University (LTU) success-
fully defended their championship
title, defeating Charles University
(CZE), who earned silver medals
for their strong performance.
The University of Warsaw (POL)
rounded out the podium, taking
home bronze.
For their exceptional performanc-
es, Mathias Seiser (University of
Vienna) was named MVP in the
men’s competition, while Gerda
Grudzinskaite (Lithuanian Sports
University) earned the MVP title
among the women.
EUSA and the city of Granada,
Spain, are looking forward to wel-
come student-athletes at the next
EUSA Beach Volleyball event as
part of the European Universities
Championships, to be held from
July 14-19, 2025.
In Miskolc, the Beach Volleyball
competition welcomed 48 university
teams (24 men and 24 women) that
came together for five intense days of
competition, delivering thrilling rallies
and spectacular plays.
