A total of 175 participants, coming
from 13 countries, representing
60 universities, participated with a
dynamic combination of punches
and kicks, given with high
intensity and eagerness to win the
medals and to have the best time
of their summer, competing and
enjoying.
Both in men’s and women’s
competition, the athletes
competed in two tatami
disciplines: point fighting (PF)
and kick light (KL) and in two
ring disciplines: K1 style and full
contact (FC) in different weight
categories.
The overall final ranking of
successful universities in the
Kickboxing competition on the
European Universities Games
in Miskolc, has University of
Zagreb (CRO) on the first place,
Hungarian University of Sports
Science (HUN) in second place
and Gazi University in third place
on the winners podium.
All participants in the Kickboxing
tournament acted with honor, fair
play and respect in accordance
with these rules, making the
matches a great event to watch.
EUSA and the city of Warsaw,
Poland, are looking forward to
organizing the next Kickboxing
event as part of the European
Universities Combat Sports
Championship, to be held
between August 22-25, 2025.
Student-athletes from 60 universities around Europe participated
in the Kickboxing competition in Miskolc from the 10th to the 13th of
July, in the new sports hall inaugurated a few days before the first
fights. Kicks of the fights for the medals were showing the athletes’
strong will and thriving for a place on the victory podium.
