Participants, volunteers, and
the public enjoyed a range of
social and entertaining events
and activities at the multi-sport
competition in Debrecen-Miskolc.Besides the educational events
offered during the European
Universities Games this year,
the program consisted of social,
fun, entertaining events, making
the free time of the participants
interesting and fulfilled with new
activities.Once the European
Universities Games started, the
accompanying fun events started
to roll on, as well.In Miskolc, participants had
the chance to enjoy a paletteof social and entertainment
activities, mainly held in the very
active Fun Zone. Games like
Tekerd, team building activities,
“More than style – get your hair
braided”, the Quarter game, and
“More than cheer – Get your
TikTok moves on point!“, were a
few of the activities that kept the
athletes and volunteers busy in
the free afternoons.Besides that, one of the most
famous and funny activities
present, was the so called:
“More than a picture! Dare to sit
in front of a caricaturist!’’ when
participants had the opportunity
to pose and get unique caricature
paintings of themselves, creatinganother great memory of EUG
2024.Many Quiz Nights were
organized, testing the
participants knowledge in
different topics related to sport
and general knowledge, keeping
them on their toes and testing
their speed in answering the
given questions.Since the Games overlapped
with the UEFA EURO 2024,
the Fun Zone was often full
of participants watching and
cheering for their favourite
teams, following the final
matches of this competition, in
both Miskolc and Debrecen.ACCOMPANYING EVENTS
The European Universities Games in Debrecen-Miskolc, held in
July 2024, was a celebration of sport, encompassing not only
competitions but also a variety of related activities.
