The competition was organised
by the Croatian Academic
Sports Federation (CASF), with
the support of the European
University Sports Association
(EUSA) and the Zagreb Rowing
Association, in partnership with
the Ministry of Tourism and Sport
of the Republic of Croatia and the
Croatian Rowing Federation.EUSA’s presence at the
championship included Treasurer
Francis Cirianni, Rowing
Technical Delegate Lionel Girard,
Assistant Technical Delegate
Agata Zieleniewska, Sports
Manager Miha Zvan, and Sports
Officer Eszter Guylas.The competition showcased
extraordinary talent, determina-tion, and sportsmanship. The
competition brought together
the best university rowing teams
from across Europe, culminating
in a series of exciting finals that
saw athletes pushing their limits
in pursuit of victory.The most awarded universities
were: Szechenyi Istvan University
from Hungary with a total of 6
medals, followed by University of
Zagreb with 5 medals.Among the other results, in the
Men’s Eight Finals A, University
of Zagreb (CRO) took the first
place at the podium, followed
by Eindhoven University of
Technology (NED) and Sport
University Cologne (GER).In 2024, the 14
th
European Universities
Rowing Championship was held in
Zagreb, Croatia from 29th to 31st of
August, hosting the participation of
393 participants, representing 68
universities, coming from across 17
European countries.
