Representatives of national
university sports associations
(NUSA) gathered twice in
Hungary to prepare for the
European Universities Games
2024.
The first NUSA Coordination
Meeting, held on May 22-23,
focused on event planning and
infrastructure assessments, while
the follow-up meeting on July
11 finalized operational updates
and details for the Opening
Ceremony.
During the initial May meeting,
NUSA members and European
University Sports Association
(EUSA) representatives
attended sessions hosted by the
Organizing Committee to gain an
overview of the event’s logistics
and venues. Held in Miskolc’s
Aurora Hotel, the gathering
began with opening addresses
from HUSF Secretary General
Peter Juhasz, OC Managing
Director Szabolcs Biro, and EUSA
Sports Manager Miha Zvan,
who emphasized teamwork,
communication, and the strategic
importance of hosting the games
across both Debrecen and
Miskolc.
